Our role

Fitzcarraldo was chosen by the Committee of promoting foundations to support the programme in 2014 and held this role until the project’s closure in 2021 delivering various evaluation, training, and networking activities.

Among the evaluation activities which took place in the first three years, we focused on analysing the impacts on the programme beneficiaries and the Funder35 community. Networking and training activities comprised annual residential seminars, providing opportunities to exchange experiences and peer learning through workshops that supported project development. Through in-person and online seminars and workshops, the training pathway developed skills for strategic planning, fundraising, audience development, digital transition, impact assessment, the development of territorial networks, relationships with public administration, and many other topics over the years.

In the last three years of the project (2019-2021), Fitzcarraldo designed and delivered a service centre aimed at a community of over 250 non-profit organisations. This involved integrating all previous activities, along with new initiatives developed ad hoc, including a digital e-learning platform, scholarships, information desks, and consulting services on Third Sector Reform. Additionally, we produced a report on the impacts of the first wave of Covid-19 on the Funder35 community, and during the pandemic, we provided them with support through listening and training activities.
