Advocacy

Placing culture at the centre of public policies

We believe that culture should play a more decisive role in the policies of every country. Yet it often does not receive the attention and support it deserves.

In brief

We aim to impact the national and international cultural debate, by bringing some of the key issues for the development of the sector to the attention of the public and policy makers.

To this end, we organise meetings, conferences, and networking opportunities, which foster connections and bring together professionals and institutions with different visions and sensibilities.

Our most significant advocacy initiative is ArtLab. Territories, culture, innovation: a national platform that promotes dialogue and innovation in policies, programmes, projects, and practices among actors in the cultural and creative ecosystem, in dialogue with other sectors and drawing on an international perspective. The production and dissemination of content, reports and texts in the publishing series “Cultural Geographies” is another pillar of our efforts. We want to share knowledge and inspiration, fueling discussion on cultural issues of global relevance.

We actively participate in the debates promoted by international networks such as EIT Culture and Creativity, Culture Action Europe, ENCATC, Creative FED, Pact 4 skills, and national networks like ASVIS – Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development.
