The Documentation Centre

The Documentation Centre provides information and documentation on arts management, economic aspects and cultural policies for use by operators in this sector, researchers and students.

Aims

• to act as an information point capable of referring users to other possible sources (libraries, documentation centres, research centres) and, where possible, procuring the information requested or publications that are not available from the Documentation Centre
• to draw attention to studies, research work, activities and initiatives (training courses, seminars, conferences) on arts management, economic aspects and cultural policies in an Italian and international context
• to publish works linked to the Foundation's research and training activities.

The Documentation Center operates through a network of collaborative agreements with other libraries and documentation centres at a local, national and international level. It is also the co-promoter of the RECAP (Resources for Cultural Policy in Europe), an international network of documentation centres on cultural policies.

Since 2003 it manages the Centro Risorse Beni Culturali, a regional portal addressed to information and documentation on cultural heritage management.

Since 2008 the Documentation Centre is co-founder of COBIS, a network of specialized libraries based in Torino and working together to offer a better service to the visitors and to the private and public institutions. Contact: Clelia Parvopassu

Collections

The Documentation Centre has a collection of monographs, year books, research reports, conference proceedings, statistics, journals, newsletters and brochures from Italian and foreign institutes and supranational organisations, press reviews and data banks on the cultural sector.

Services

A bibliographical information service is available.

The material can be consulted in the centre by appointment.

The material is not available on loan.
